If you are a new patient, and if following the intake assessment process it appears that this program is appropriate for your difficulties, you will be offered a twenty-two (22) visit course of treatment. The frequency of sessions will also be determined at the outset of the treatment program.

Following the intake process, a personalized treatment program will be designed collaboratively.  Specific modules included in your treatment program will be selected based on assessment conducted during the intake process, available research, and clinical experience.

Specific, measurable goals will be formulated at the outset of the treatment program.  This will allow us to have a bench-mark of your status at the start of the treatment process, track progress, make “course-corrections” as necessary, and provide a measure of goal-attainment  towards the end of the treatment course.

For returning patients, and for new patients who have completed their first course of treatment and are likely to benefit from an extension of the program, an eleven (11) visit course of treatment may be added.

If you would like to begin the intake assessment process, please call the office (804 210-1104) and schedule 1) an intake interview, which will last approximately one hour, and 2) a follow-up session to discuss your treatment options.  The follow-up session will again last approximately one hour and should be scheduled one week after the intake interview.  Forms, questionnaires, and relevant assessment devices will be completed, scored, and interpreted between these two meetings.
